Experience higher efficiency, advanced features and improved optimization for your stock upgrade or build with Castle’s legendary brushless power.  The MAMBA MONSTER X 8S, 33.6V ESC W/1520-1650KV SENSORED COMBO is a perfect upgrade for 1/8, 1/7 and 1/6 scale vehicles weighing up to 18lbs and up to 8S LiPo. The 1520-1650Kv has all of the secret sauce that the big brother 1717-1650Kv has, but in a more compact diameter, fitting into smaller spaces without modifications to your chassis.

Product Use Statements:
  1. Recommended battery capacity for 1:6th scale vehicles is 5000mah. We recommend using 50C continuous discharge or higher LiPo batteries. 
  2. Surge ratings should never be used to determine a pack’s suitability for a brushless application. 
  3. We recommend a high current connector designed for high-powered electric systems, rated for 120+ amps, such as Castle CC Bullet 6.5mm, CC Bullet 8.0mm, or 6.5mm Polarized Castle Connectors.
  4. Applying voltages higher than 33.6V will cause irreparable damage to ESC.
  5. Although Mamba Monster X 8S is waterproof, it is not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. Always rinse the ESC with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt. 
  6. The cooling fan must be removed prior to driving in wet conditions. It is not waterproof.
  7. Note: While many users have utilized the Mamba Monster X 8s in extremely high speed applications and drag setups, it is NOT intended for this application. As such the Castle warranty does NOT cover failure when used in high speed or drag applications.

Tech Notes: 
  1. This motor includes 10AWG wire and 6.5mm connectors for use specifically this ESC/Motor combo.
  2. Running modes: SMARTSENSE™, Sensored, Sensorless with Castle sensored capable ESCs.
  3. Water Resistant Design: The sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to protect the sensors from moisture. The sensor connections are not water resistant; water can cause signal loss which could result in loss of sensored capabilities. Castle recommended applying dielectric grease to the outside of the sensor wire connections after installation of the wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments.
